Who Killed LegendaryFrog?

I think that would make a pretty funny Flash. Maybe I should add that to my to do list. Nah, I've got my hands full with flash right now. But honestly, I understand his popularity died out a couple years ago. And there will always be those who say he was always overrated. And now that I look back I can see what they're saying. Drawing wise at least. Of course a lot of them were just jealous anyway. What caused his immense popularity? I'm guessing it was due to the fact that his flashes were mostly pop culture parodies which people responded to. I mean, I was in high school and my entire class thought he was absolutely hilarious. People would be singing the chocobo song on a regular day basis. Hey, that's the reason I have it in my favorites.

But honestly, even flash authors who aren't that popular anymore still submit things every now and then. His last solo submission, Ark and Kerrigan Battle Rocks did not do very well. I didn't even know he submitted something new. I don't think it was even on the NG front page, I could be mistaken though. I guess he's somewhere playing World of Warcraft right now lol. So, I made the topic of my journal entry to discuss the life and death of the frog instead of my usual personal flash blather. So, thoughts on Joseph Blanchette. Did you like him? Yes, no, maybe so?

Joseph is a nice guy but misunderstands the NG community I think. A few kids start bashing his toons and he loses all confidence and respect for NG. He does still make flash just he posts them all in youtube now. So he's dead here but not out there. I wouldn't mind seeing him come back though. Even though I agree he was overatted he does make some funny flashes now and then.

What I think we need on a NG is another big-hitter. A new legendaryfrog that's not overatted and that can take first place for most bookmarks. We haven't seen much uber-popular new talent for about a year now.

I'll admit that he's not has popular as he was a few years ago but he is still a good flash author

As far as my opinion goes, his flash work is great; I've been his fan ever since the Zelda song. He's a good animator I think... maybe not the best one, but still does a good job. But the reason of his succes is not the animation, but that fine sence of humor he shows on everything he does. C'mon, please tell me you didnt't laugh your ass off after "La mierda santa" on One Ring to Rule 'Em All: SE.

Still, love LegendaryFrog :)

For me I know I kinda felt his stuff wasn't up to his own par with his WoW flash. It felt as though he had made it for himself more then anyone else, perhaps simply an inside joke? All I know is that he deserves respect regardless for making so many classics.

LOL the WoW flash is HILARIOUS but only if you played WoW before... only a WoW junkie or ex-junkie could understand all those in-game jokes. As for me, I'm a WoW ex-junkie (been clean for abut 6 months now), so yeah it was awesome for me... LOL... "ARGH! A TALKING ROCK!"

I love legendary frog. I watched each of his flashes at least over 10 times and still make me laugh. I would love for him to do another flash on newgrounds but if he's doing bigger/ better things or maybe he wants to do other stuff, I prefer him to do that.
